Sometimes I wonder if I’m good enough.
Not always sure that my self esteem is what it should be… sometimes I think it’s too high
I mean… I’m overweight, and underperform a lot of the time – I should be better

Heading out of town in between 10-12 hours for the annual camping trip known as Club GrosS (Any Calvin and Hobbes Aficionado will know the reference)
Rumours of heavy binge drinking and campfire coffee are probably accurate… along with the standard tents and tales and likely many a laugh. A fistfight, while highly unlikely (not sure if it’s happened in the past or not, some trips are pretty blurry) is always possible.
Of course, being middle aged now (sigh!)… we’ll all have our toys along – cell phones and laptops, bigger tents, large quantities of edibles… although there won’t be much opportunity to actually charge any of these things, so there won’t be much use thankfully – it’ll be nice to get away from it all to be honest.
Not a whole lot of tweeting going on…
Not a whole lot of blogging…
Not many games being played on computers, or movies watched…
How ever will we live?

I do believe that technology, while bringing us all closer in some ways… has made us more distant as well… we feel as close with people 1000 miles away as the people in our day to day lives, and as good as that may sound, I suspect it’s NOT that the far away people are getting closer, so much as the close people are getting further away.

So, with a vague headache, there isn’t much motivation to do anything today… I threw on the PS3, and worked my way through the movies I have saved.
Employee of the Month – just fucking weird… interesting… not sure, it didn’t make me want to hit stop lol… but there were moments of confusion.
Crank – High Voltage
This movie was crap… entertaining other than the giant monster montage portion, which was just weird…
but then, there really wasn’t much that was realistic, besides Amy Smart’s tits – they looked real…
the floating head was bizarre, the fake heart thing was pretty unreal, did I mention the giant monster montage?
it was just a whole bunch of poop.
AND… they left room for a 3rd movie
seriously?
the first one ended with him falling out of a helicopter and bouncing off a car… the second one starts with him kidnapped and having a fake heart installed… after falling a mile, bouncing off a car, and blinking his eyes.
terrible.
